Shantè Ashley
Family Resources Coordinator
Shantè Ashley is a Family Resources Coordinator and has her bachelor’s degree in Human Services with an emphasis in Family and Children Services. She is the last of four siblings and grew up as an “Army Brat”. Her father’s occupation offered a unique childhood filled with lifelong memories. Shantè is grateful for the various experiences, places, and cultures she has been exposed to. Her determination and resiliency enhance everything she does in work and play.
She is most inspired by working with families. “I love being the first point of contact when they are entering into our program. I enjoy meeting with the families and during the entire time that their kiddos are with us, I feel like I really made a connection with them. Also, seeing and hearing about the many milestones that their child has accomplished while with us, even if it’s a small one, is always such a wonderful feeling.”
Want to join ASAPC’s team of superstars? Shantè’s advice to a candadate, is to be comfortable knowing how to effectively balance your work and personal life. Sometimes, it is easy to get caught up ensuring that meetings are scheduled with families and providers, so much so, it’s easy to overextend yourself.
To avoid burnout, Shantè believes in trying your absolute hardest to stick to your schedule that you have created for yourself. Then, you can make sure that you are not neglecting your life outside of work. This is very important to your self-care!
