Michelle Smith

Development Director

Michelle Smith joined the ASAPC team in 2018 to lead the agency towards increased fund development heights. Over her extensive nonprofit history, Michelle’s powerhouse attitude has led her career in all facets of fundraising and community engagement as well as Public Relations and Marketing. She is proud to hold her bachelors from University of Washington with a minor in Nonprofit Management and a certification in Grant Writing. She also received her Associates from the State University of New York.

At ASAPC, Michelle is a “one-woman” band executing multi-year fundraising plans including special events. She also leads the team in grant writing efforts, heads communications, and manages all social media platforms. “My passion is people! I’m always amazing by an individual’s power of resiliency, hope, and sheer determination to change.” Her colleagues and the families they serve are a perfect example of this.

Michelle is positive, self-driven, motivated by purpose, and loves to laugh. When she’s not working, Michelle loves spending time with her spouse and their four children. She enjoys spending time outdoors, oil painting, home renovation, cooking, traveling, and pushing her body’s capabilities in amateur powerlifting.
