Amy Mesec
BOOST Coordinator/Infant Family Specialist
Amy Mesec is the BOOST Coordinator and has her Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education; Infant Mental Health certified and endorsed (B.S. ECE, IMH-E®). Amy also has her WA State Elementary Teaching License and is Infant Mental Health Endorsed. Amy is inspired by working with the whole family. “Providing support to the entire family allows me to see how feeling supported and connected within a community leads to positive family interactions and healthy relationships.” The rule of thumb with the BOOST program is flexibility; each day is different and there is no “typical” daily schedule. She embraces every day as new and exciting by attending community meetings, playgroups, home visits, family planning meetings, writing grants, and of course, completing paperwork. Having an open mind has helped Amy embrace the varying daily schedule. “I have come to realize that having variety in my day keeps me motivated and engaged. Working in the BOOST program is exciting and rewarding in so many ways!!”
When Amy is not working, she loves spending time with her family kayaking, traveling, watching movies, and going for walks. She and her husband Jay have been married for 22 years, and have a 16-year-old daughter, and an 11-year-old Goldendoodle named Shaggy.
