Pediatric Occupational Therapist

A Step Ahead is recruiting a full time fun-loving pediatric Occupational Therapist to join our growing team of early support for infants and toddlers providers. Work with infants and toddlers and their caregivers in the home environment to improve motor, feeding and sensory processing skills. Servicing the Bethel, Franklin Pierce, Puyallup, & Eatonville School Districts, we offer a flexible and positive working environment, where you'll be part of a dynamic, committed, fun and friendly multidisciplinary staff Including speech, physical, & infant mental health therapists and educators along with other Occupational Therapists. Duties include: Assessment and evaluation, development of treatment plans and home programs, progress notes, completion of SOAP notes, and assisting in the development of Individual Family Service Plans, participation in multidisciplinary planning and teams.

This is a fun and flexible position which allows autonomy in scheduling and a unique opportunity to positively impact children’s development and increase parents’ ability to meet their children’s needs. Low stress with a caseload of only 18-20 sessions per week. We provide technology which allows you to work at your home and on the road. Desk space is available at our office space in Puyallup, WA

Minimum Requirements

  • Licensed and Certified in the State of Washington

  • At least 2 years experience as pediatric OT

  • Experience with a wide range of diagnoses including: Autism, genetic disorders, medically fragile, and motor-speech disorders, strongly preferred

  • Valid Washington Drivers License & Current Auto Insurance

  • Current First Aid/CPR

  • Must Pass Pre-Employment Background Check
